With the 4650, Leon Engineering offers you a complete, reliable and yet very cost-effective bagging scale. The 4650 scale can be used for open-mouth bags.Typical bag weights may vary between 25 to 60 Kg. Normal speeds and accuracies are 7,5 bags/minute (for sp.gr. 0,75 gr/cm3), plus/minus 50 gr. Used for handling free flowing products such as cereals, pulses, plastic granules, fertilizer, refined sugar.

Operation Principle
The 4650 bagging scales operate on the principle of equal batch weighing with preset limits. The product is fed from a surge hopper into the weigh bin by means of a 2 – position gravity gate providing for coarse and dribble feed. When reaching the preset batch (bag) weight, the product feed stops. The scale controller checks the stable position of the scale. The quantity of product in the weigh bin is now discharged into the empty bag through a bagging spout with bag clamp. Thereafter the next cycle starts. The size of weigh bin depends largely on the required bag weight and the flow characteristics of the product to be handled.
Bagging scales depends largely on flow characteristics of product, availability of product, required accuracy and operator skills.
Controls
As a standard the 4650 bagging scales are delivered with our proven controller LESCON. This is a cost-effective, yet very versatile and easy to use control unit of robust design and with proven reliability. It is contained in a standard IP54 cabinet. As an option a special IP65 stainless steel cabinet can be provided, suitable for the harshest of environments, still guaranteeing an extremely efficient operation. On the cabinet also the necessary operator controls are fitted such as:
  • On/Off switch
  • Hold/Run switch
  • Discharge pushbutton
  • Signal lamps for coarse feed / dribble feed, weighing complete, discharge.

Weigh bin: Mild steel, (optional Stainless Steel or Teflon coated) 130 Lt Volume

Pneumatically operated double door discharging

Proximity switch for detection of closed position discharge doors.

Weighing system: Weigh bin suspended from two high precision stainless steel load cells, IP67 protection rating, complete with mounting assemblies

Junction box for connection of the weighing system with the scale controller

Product feeding: One electropneumatically operated two position catch gate for coarse and fine feed provides highly accurate control.

Air service unit

  • Complete system with solenoid valves, filter, pressure regulator, pressure gauge, and lubricator
